Ohio Tech Summit is Back for 2nd Year—This Time in Columbus

The Ohio Tech Summit is back after a successful debut last year, this time in Columbus.

A year after holding its inaugural summit in Cleveland, OhioX will bring its flagship conference to the Ohio Union at Ohio State University on May 18. The nonprofit trade group expects a sellout with more than 480 attendees and a 100-person waitlist.

“It's our biggest event ever, and it comes at a time when Ohio has incredible momentum,” says OhioX President Chris Berry. “This year, we’ll focus on ‘Building the Silicon Heartland’ and three key ingredients that are making Ohio a world-class hub for tech and innovation: community, culture, and capital.”

The momentum Berry refers to is most evident in Intel’s $20+ billion semiconductor campus, a project that’s garnered worldwide attention since it was announced in January 2022.

Attendees will get a “Built in Ohio” HOMAGE t-shirt, a follow-up to the popular “Silicon Heartland” shirts that OhioX and HOMAGE collaborated on.

The “Building the Silicon Heartland” theme represents a whole lot more than just computer chips.  Summit attendees will meet tech pros from all corners of Ohio.

J.P. Nauseef, President and CEO of JobsOhio, is among a variety of speakers that includes startup founders, Fortune 500 executives, and leaders from incubators and higher education. There will be full panels, breakout sessions, and a new award to celebrate women in tech called Ohio Trailblazers.

Visit ohiotechsummit.org for the full agenda. It’s sold out, but you can join the waitlist in case additional seating is available.
